Earth Day Closing Kirtan

What a treat to come right from the Earth Day celebration earlier in the day to such a grounding, centering evening of kirtan. We hosted a kirtan led by Sangita Devi at the yoga center last night (Saturday night)... a beautiful, spiritual night of chanting, singing, clapping and dancing. The Sangita Devi crew came in from Asheville Friday night and got to enjoy a weekend of this amazing coastal weather we've been having lately.

We look forward to reconnecting with Sangita Devi at LEAF this year were they will be performing again.

Big, beautiful Earth Day

Who could have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate Earth Day 2008 at Hugh McRae park? The great weather was accompanied by good tunes, tasty treats and a tentful of pressing issues, great causes and conscious organizations.

Going Green to Santorini

We are trying to shift most of our marketing to web to reduce the amount of physical material consumed in our daily lives. For the portion that does need to be printed, we try to design & layout our marketing material to give us the most use of our paper resource in the most conscious manner possible.

This year for the retreat postcard, we're using GreenerPrinters! They use recycled papers and are a green certified company... And they are 100% Wind-Powered via Renewable Energy Credits (REC's).

The official announcement has been made... August 13-19th (with an optional service component from the 19th-23rd). Southport Yoga Center has a new Home!!

Classes started April 14th in our new space. Our new, 700 sqft yoga studio is situated within Chincha's Day Spa, so now our students can get centered and pampered all in one spot. Here is the new address:
